Laser Thread veins /Nail fungal Removal

Lasers are being used as a non-invasive treatment option for a growing number of medical conditions, including thread veins. A laser is essentially a focussed beam of light that, when applied to thread veins, reverses the expansion of the vessels that results in their characteristic web like pattern. The purpose of the treatment is to selectively treat the target of haemoglobin without causing thermal damage to the surrounding tissue .

We recommended one to four sessions 4 to 8 weeks apart  to fully clear or reduce the appearance of the veins. Clients need to avoid direct sunlight and tanning for 30 days prior and after treatment. No smoking for at least 4 to 5 hours prior to treatment. As the veins are more visible in lighter skin tone so they have more and better results than the darker or tanned skin tone  A mild swelling ,redness and bruising is expected but is reduces in few days after the treatment clients may notice that the veins has appear darker in colour and be more visible however this will cease once the vein breaks down. Veins removed usually do not re-appear but this does not stop new thread veins appearing in other parts of the body.

How does it work?

Laser light is absorbed by haemoglobin in the veins and the heat produced causes photocoagulation. The heat is transferred to the vessel wall which affects the collagen and ultimately helps to destroy the vessel and prevent recanalization. The laser treats individual veins , but new veins may appear due to an underlying disorder.

Fungal Nail treatment

Laser therapy is a treatment for toenail fungus infection (onychomycosis), a hard-to-treat infection that changes the appearance and texture of the nail.

Fungal nail infections require several laser treatment before they completely disappear. It may take between 6 and 18 months of consistent treatments for laser to be effective they are considered to be a safe and a FDA Approved treatment .

HOW does the treatment work?

When the laser is targeted to the area of infection, the heat that’s produced inhibits the growth of the fungus and destroys it.

Signs of improvement and Benefit include:

  • The disappearance of yellow, white, or brown discoloration of the affected toenail or toenails
  • Resolution of flaky debris under or on the nail
  • Recovery of onycholysis, which is detachment of the nail from the nail bed below
  • Normal shape and texture of new nail growth with no more thickness, bumps, or altered nail shape
